I was recently inspired to continue doing my ‘Dream Diary’ series I had started back in 2008. I remember the excitement that came with the creative process involved in coming up with a photo project & executing it. I’m ready to jump right back where I left off & continue; but I’ve decided to add 3 other projects to tie along with the Dream Diary

CURRENT & UPCOMING PROJECTS

Dream Diary: the dreams of sleeping beauties – This project primarily focuses on women who have something troubling going on in their lives (not in real life of course!). Their dreams, which play out in a reflective surface anywhere around them, depicts an image of what they wish their life to be.

Arrest Shots – Not much concept here. Just high fashion b/w (maybe some color ones as well) mug shots with retro styles & props.

Monsters – A love story about “freaks”. Images will be in square format & digitally edited to include textures (for painted look), blurred areas, & model’s eyes spread out apart. Inspiration is from storybook surrealism.

Weird Tales (pending title) – A series of mini tales (maximum 5 photos per story) with faces of the models blurred for a bizarre effect. Stories will be simple in concept.

I’ve neglected my blog for quite a while, but I’m determined to get back in the swing of things. First thing I accomplished was a redesign of the blog & considering I’ve been booking several shoots lately, I think it’s safe to start posting some behind the scenes stuff :] Someday soon (when I get my hands on the Canon 5D MkII to be exact), I’ll start posting behind scenes videos to my youtube account. This blog should hopefully suffice in the mean time!

I was recently commissioned by a talented clothing designer to shoot some of her outfits. Other than a few skirmishes with a bee that was determined to get us, the shoot went pretty well.

Wardrobe Stylist – Looking for a creative visionary. Someone reliable I can work with on a semi-regular basis. Your work should consist of outfits & accessories that are decadent and artistic, offering flights of fantasy and unique perspectives.
*pay is through commission ONLY
*you must live in the DFW area
*you will be able to set your own price, but it must be a flat rate
*I will give you advance notice when someone books their photoshoot appointment & has requested your services.

Assistant Wedding Photographer – All applicants must be reliable & efficient. Previous experience photographing weddings is preferred. Owning your own equipment is a must (cameras, lenses, accessories, etc.).
*pay is through commission ONLY
*you must live in the DFW area
*photographing weddings together will be a collaborative effort with the shared goal of obtaining only the highest quality images for our clients.
*you will be expected to show up to all client consultations & wedding events in a timely manner
*you retain sole ownership of any photos you take…
*however, by working along side me, you grant our clients an irrevocable right and license to use, copy, modify, display, archive, distribute, and reproduce the images you & I provide them.
